Marigold Minds — Privacy Policy
Last updated: [FILL IN TODAY'S DATE]
Marigold Minds ("the app") is designed for young children and their parents. We take children's privacy seriously and built this app around a simple principle: your child's activity stays on your device.
What we collect
- Child profile data (name, chosen avatar, age band) — stored only in your device's local storage. This never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
- Play progress (which games were played, accuracy, stars earned) — also stored only locally on your device.
- Anonymous usage analytics (app opens, session length, which games or lessons were opened, crash reports) — collected via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to help us understand overall app usage and fix bugs. This data is anonymous and aggregate: it is never linked to your child's name, profile, or any personally identifying information. We do not collect or transmit advertising identifiers (AAID) from this app.
What we do NOT collect
- No names, photos, or contact information tied to children
- No location data
- No advertising identifiers
- No data used for ad targeting — we do not show ads in this app
Third parties
We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) solely for anonymous usage statistics and crash reporting. Firebase's own privacy practices apply to this data — see Firebase's privacy policy.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
This app is directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All child profile and progress data lives exclusively on the device and is never transmitted to us.
Data deletion
Deleting a child's profile within the app (Grown-ups area → Children → remove) permanently deletes their locally-stored progress. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
